Superintendent Fred V. Morrone's was our incoming board president, our friend and colleague.  At the 9/11 memorial services in New York City our police leadership agreed with the family to establish a program offering an educational forum in Superintendent Fred V. Morrone's. The mission is to assist police and public safety jurisdictions in the United States and worldwide. Later in 2007, the 9/11 Memorial Award program was established in Morrone's name to those who exemplify leadership in making the world a safer place. In 2012 the 9/11 Award Committee established the International Police and Public Safety 9/11 Medal to recognize those officers, public officials, and organizations who have distinguished themselves around the world that continue the everyday fight against terrorism.  In 2016 a decision was made to establish the Morrone 9/11 Center for Counterterrorism and Security as its own 501c3 to further the efforts of his vision.  With the help of those across the land we can educate, train, and support fighting terrorism globally.
