9/11 Medal Nominations are open
Police, security and public safety command officers are encouraged to nominate those officers, or officials, who have demonstrated valor, exemplary service and distinguished leadership in the course of their duties, and in some cases a particular event or project. There are 11 categories, of which are transportation and security related. However, the Act of Valor in the face of Terrorism falls within its own. Please review the complete submission details. There is no fee for the honor. However, the nominating authority is responsible for ensuring, if awarded, the nominee and guest will be funded to attend the ceremony on October 20, 2017, in conjunction with the International Association of Chief of Police (IACP) conference in Philadelphia.
9/11 Security Enterprise Award
The Transportation Security Enterprise Award is given to those technologies and products that show innovation; and are providing an effective tool to law enforcement, security and public safety, supporting the human element. There is a submission fee of $295. The organization receives a special year long sponsor benefit on the SRMX product guide page. Upon presentation, the organization will have the use of the special logo for a period of three years.
